When it comes to important locations such as Presidential pavilions like the one in Congo, you need a very reliable set of cameras. These aren’t your traditional $50 cameras that you would get in your home, but these are high tech surveillance cameras that are not only extremely reliable, but they are also quite expensive.

Since this place is a very well known location that has a lot of important international visitors at a regular basis, it was important to choose a manufacturer for the cameras that has a long history of producing reliable security systems to improve their outside security.

The cameras that were chosen for this particular task are no surprise to us. The NCR870 was chosen for the outermost areas of the location, as well as the SDS750PRO dome camera.

The NCR870 is one of the highest quality IR Night Vision cameras that we have seen, and it produces an excellent image even if there is zero light in the area. Something that you might not be familiar with security cameras is the HD image of this particular item. The most common problem is the darkness that isn’t dark enough to use the IR system correctly, but still not light enough for the daylight mode to work as it is supposed to. This is not a problem for the NCR870, as it has Lumii II technology that will clear out all fuzzy images, and make the camera work very well in dim light.

Unlike most cameras, this network camera doesn’t require a power plug for it to work, but since it works over ethernet, it supports Power Over Ethernet or PoE, which allows more freedom for placement, and at the same time you can get done with less work.

The SDS750PRO on the other hand is a vandal proof dome camera, that can’t be beaten. It can be turned and just like the other cameras it comes with night vision. This is a very sturdy camera, and when Messoa says it’s vandal proof, it really is. When you are thinking about the cameras in Congo, they have to be really sturdy to take the possible beating they might get. Also both of these cameras are tested to work in extreme weather, especially in extremely hot weather. That will come in hand with the hot summers.

For the insides of the building a high quality HD camera from Messoa was chosen. The NDF820 comes equipped with the same Lumii II tech, which allows for the crisply clear image even with low light, but it is also considered a cost effective solution in this price range, so they could deploy a lot of these cameras without blowing up the budget too much. It is also vandal proof as it comes in a bubble, and thanks to the 264 compression it has, you don’t have to worry about filling up your hard-drives too soon. This is important in a location like this as you don’t want to sacrifice the amount of saved surveillance. The longer you can go back when something happens, the better, and in locations like this it could be years.

Messoa NDF831 is the camera that is chosen for the entrances of the location. These are network cameras that have a 1080p image and a local storage option on a memory card. This means that even if someone gets the surveillance hard drives, the camera has an option to use a memory card and record itself. Thanks to the bubble, and the aluminium housing, this camera can take a beating should it come from a human or the mother earth. It is vandal and weather proof.

Unfortunately we can’t trust most people that we know, and people usually learn this the hard way. When someone trying to sell you something comes to your door, and doesn’t take no for an answer, tries to get indoors, and looks very interested to see what you have inside the house, it is time to not back up and not open the door any more than you need.

For these situations it is a good idea to have some security equipment at hand, which isn’t intended for surveillance. Having a deadbolt on your door will help prevent someone coming in without keys, but having a safety chain will help you keep the door open only a little to see what the seller wants. You don’t have to open the whole door to see and hear their sales speech, and it isn’t rude to not let them inside the house if you don’t know them.

Be especially careful in situations where you ask the person to leave, and they won’t seem to take no for an answer. In these cases it might be a good idea to tell them that you don’t want what they are selling, and that you will call the police if they don’t leave your premises. Close the door and go to the phone to wait and see what they will do next. Most of the time they will go away, and they were just very pushy salesmen hoping to get commissions, but there are situations where they aren’t actually selling anything, but they are just trying to get inside your home and either see what they could come back for later, or make the grab while they are there.

When the situation has passed you should try to discuss this with your neighbors as well. If they have experienced the same situation it could be a good idea to report them to the police just in case they have been doing it elsewhere as well.

Home security is more about preventing than dealing with problems that have already happened. You don’t want to let someone in, then have a gun ready to shoot them if they make a wrong move. The best way to deal with this is to not let the problem arise in the first place!

Being almost in the top 10 biggest and fastest growing companies the home security business, it was about time that Devcon decided to get a general manager. After spending years being in the Orange County branch of the company it was time for John Conrique get a promotion, and this was a very welcome news for him.

Mostly his work is going to be about hiring people and making connections with suppliers and other businesses in the same area of work. He wants to take the customer service of Devcon Security to another level, and that is where he will focus when hiring new people. The customers are what matter, and they need to be taken care of.

Previously John Conrique was in the management in the home security company called Brink’s Home Security for as long as six years. This company no longer exists as. He has a very good experience in leading a security company, and knows how to deal with sales teams and how to find new opportunities for the company.

Getting a general manager for the whole company will most likely help Devcon get a larger market share, and grow even faster. As they are not paying much more attention to sales and customer relations they are able to make more deals. Knowing how to negotiate is one of the most important skills sales personnel have to have, and when you are dealing with large business to business contracts, it is important to know how to make your strengths known to the customer.

We are expecting Devcon to keep on growing larger and larger and reach the top 5 largest security companies in the following 5 years.

Click Here To Buy The VideoSecu VD60P

Having cameras outdoors is something that is very helpful in preventing burglaries and other unwanted security problems. Dome cameras are very good as they are solidly attached to the surface, and there isn’t a flimsy shaft connecting the camera to the wall or ceiling. Dome cameras are often used in the ceiling as they blend in nicely.

When you are looking for a night vision dome camera, you have some options, but if you want to stay below $40 per camera, this is the best camera that you can find. It is often sold with a price tag of $100 but using our link you can get it with less than half the price.

Because this is an outdoor security camera, it is better protected agains the forces of nature. That means that it doesn’t mind humidity, some wind and even rain and temperature changes.

We see it too often that people try to use cameras that are intended for indoor use only, outdoors and they are thinking why they broke down. Always make that your surveillance cameras are built for outdoor use before you install them outside – a security system is worthless if it doesn’t work or isn’t reliable in all possible conditions.

We have reviewed a cheap vandal proof outdoor night vision dome security camera before, and it is basically very similar to this one, except this one isn’t classified as “vandal proof“. Just like that camera, this one comes with a nice wide angle which makes this a perfect camera for wide areas such as rooms, garages or to be placed under a canopy. If you are one of those people who like to keep their cars or other valuable vehicles under surveillance, this is a good camera to be placed near them – thanks to the wide angle, it can pick up suspicious activities near your vehicle, and you can be sure it will scare most of the petty thieves away with just it’s appearance.

The wide angle lens of f 3.6mm will work perfectly even if you have more than on car that you want to surveil. It will easily cover two cars, and we are pretty sure that the width is enough for three if you place it a bit further.

Because it has night vision, you don’t have to worry about having lighting around the area which you have the camera pointed to, but if you have, you don’t have to worry about someone trashing the lights to get rid of surveillance cameras. The night vision image is very clear and you can definitely see faces in the video. When connected to a DVR or a computer, this will make the perfect camera for your garage, or any other similar loaction.

At this price range, most people are very surprised at the image quality in day light, but especially when the IR led night vision mode is on. The Infrared leds will activate when there isn’t enough light for the normal camera mode to produce a clear enough image, and at the same time the night vision mode is set on. Even if this is an affordable dome camera, it will blow most of you away with the night vision mode.

The installation with this camera is very straightforward, and you should not experience any difficulties with it. It is a small sized dome camera, and for that we are quite glad as you don’t want too big objects hanging around your ceiling, even if you have a surveillance system. It is clearly visible that this is a surveillance camera, but it isn’t too big so that it will jump at you every time you enter the room.

The construction of this camera is made of metal, and it covers all the connectors and wires nicely. It is a clean install anywhere, and we are pretty sure that it can even take a small beating – it is not advertised as a camera that can, but the construction is pretty solid.

If you are looking for a cheap night vision outdoor dome camera, this is something that you should not pass. For this price, there are very few other cameras that can bring you the same image quality day and night.

Click Here To Buy This Dummy Security Camera

There are times when you don’t want to spend money on a real surveillance system, but you want everyone to think that you have done so. The best option is to get fake outdoor security cameras, which cost only a fraction of a real camera, and you don’t need a DVR or a similar system to set up in the other end.

Many people use these cameras in a addition to their real cameras so they can have a really strong looking surveillance setup where in fact they only have a few cameras that are doing the work. The building might be filled with cameras, where in fact only the important areas are covered with real cameras. If this is the case, we recommend that you get cameras that look alike, or look completely different. Having real, and fake cameras mixed when they look “almost” the same, might cause someone to notice this. You might get a few really cheap vandal proof cameras and mix it up with a dozen of fake ones and no-one will ever know the difference – they will just think that you have a frigging powerful surveillance setup.

Today the fake cameras are really authentic, and at best there is no difference to the real ones except there is no camera inside the housing. This model in particular even has a blinking light inside which will give a true impression of a real camera. It even has a real rain shield that is used to protect the valuable electronics inside real cameras. You can use this model indoors, or outdoors thanks to this particular feature.

The blinking light has to be powered with something, and even if this is a dummy security camera, there will be AA batteries inside which make the red led light blink. These batteries however will last for a very long time as a small led will not consume much power. You can have a true fake security system.

This camera can be used in all weather, and you don’t have to worry about it getting wet – it is waterproof enough to protect the blinking light. It can be used in places where you want no-one to go near your valuables. Perhaps you own a boat, or a luxury car, and you want no-one to go around it looking at it? Just place two of these dummy outdoor surveillance cameras where you park the car at your house, and you can be sure that no-one will go near it. The thing is that people don’t want to be caught on camera, no matter what they are doing – even if someone isn’t planning on stealing your car, they will automatically steer away from the vehicle when they notice the red blinking light, and the camera pointed towards the vehicle. We just naturally don’t want to be caught on camera.

Based on all the customer reviews, there really isn’t any way one can tell that this camera is fake. The reason is, that it uses a proper camera housing and even has the lens inside. The only thing that is missing is the electronics apart from the red light, which can be seen from far away. If you think about it, what you want to achieve with a surveillance system is crime prevention. You don’t want your system to be focusing on catching the criminals and thieves, but you want them not to do the deed in the first place. Having multiple fake security cameras is definitely they way to go there, unless you are ready to pay the price of real cameras in numbers? Decent quality surveillance cameras come with a price tag of almost $50 each, and you can get four fake cameras with the same price – the deterrence effect is notable with four cameras! When you have every corner covered with a dummy camera, you can be sure that everyone will notice there isn’t a blind spot in your surveillance system.

This particular model also has IR (infrared) leds mounted at the front, so it will look like a night vision camera when you mount it. This is one particular feature which is missing from many of the fake dome cameras that you can find, and it makes this particular camera stand out in the line of fake cameras.

Click Here To Buy Swann SW233-ADW

For cold weather you need to be sure that you know what you are getting. Not all cameras can handle low temperatures properly, and when you are looking for a wireless cold weather camera, you have to be extra careful as the cold weather can take out the wireless signal temporarily, making the whole camera useless. This camera on the other hand, can handle extreme weather. It can be extreme heat, extreme cold or extreme humidity, this is the camera that can take it and win.

Thanks to the up to 400 feet strong wireless transmission signal, you can be sure to place them anywhere and still have a good signal and a strong surveillance system. You would not want a camera that is unreliable for the given range or climate, so if you are even thinking of getting a cold weather camera, this is the one that you should be getting. If you live somewhere where the weather might get cold during the winter, and hot during the summer, this is definitely what you need as it can handle both. Some people take risks with their surveillance cameras, and get regular cameras even if they know the camera has to be under a very cold climate – they end up missing days of footage once their camera freezes up and they have to order a new one. Don’t be one of those people who get their car or snowmobiles stolen while they are waiting for a new cold weather camera to arrive.

It always surprises us to see people who are interested in improving the security of their home, their business or just want extra protection for a valuable item, to not want security for their surveillance system. We are all about having vandal proof cameras, and cold resistant cameras where it is cold, because we know that a system that doesn’t work is useless. The most common way these days to steal something is to take out the surveillance first – thieves know that people have these systems and they don’t want to be caught on camera. Having a wireless camera is something that you can use in a manner that is unexpected. You can hide these cameras in places that wired cameras can’t be taken. You can put it up a tree if needed – no-one will look there. But still, the most important thing that comes with wireless technology is the mobility – you can rotate the places of your cameras without having to wire them every time. Also if you have a surveillance room at the other end of the house, you don’t necessarily want to wire the whole house to get cameras in the other end. These cameras can transmit up to 160 feet through walls, so you don’t have to worry about it unless you have a really big house – in that case we recommend you get a setup which gives a boost to the signal somewhere around the middle.

Once again we recommend that you connect the camera to a laptop with an external hard-drive. That way you will still have your system running even if you have a power out, and you will still be recording. If you only use a DVR you will run out of space or tape too early – get a laptop with a DVR card, and an external hard drive of a few TB. This way you can be recording day and night from multiple sources and still have weeks recordings when you set them to record only at motion. Of course an outdoor wireless camera will be recording most of the time as the nature tends to move a bit with wind, and if it is snowing, but that is the point – to record with movement.

Honestly, there aren’t a lot of cold weather wireless security cameras out there, and of the selected few, this is one of the best ones. The 2.4Ghz wireless transmission allows a good distance between the camera and the receiver, and thanks to the housing, you can use this camera in all weathers. The camera uses two different resolutions depending on which one you choose to have. The 640×480 is the higher resolution and it will bring you sharper video, but if you choose to have more recordings, you can go with the 320z240 which takes up a lot less space. The 40 degrees view angle isn’t huge, but this isn’t meant to be a wide angle camera. The image quality is very good though, especially for a wireless system.

Many people have interference with their wireless camera setups, and that is because their systems are analog. If you get a digital system like this one, you will not have interference from mobile phones, other wireless networks or basically any signal. The digital signal will not get interference, and that makes it one of the best choices for a wireless surveillance system. Besides just being a camera, it also has a microphone which you can listen to. This is the perfect camera to have at your gate, where you want to see who is coming, and you can even hear what they are there for.

Click Here To Buy The VD21

There are places where you need to have a vandal proof camera, but don’t want to spend too much money on it. Having a surveillance camera with night vision is almost mandatory these days as taking out the lights is the first thing that most burglars do. Having a vandal proof camera will make sure that the lights is all that they can take out, and with a price tag of under $45 this is one of the cheapest vandal proof security cameras with night vision, but also very good value!

This camera, like almost all of the cameras these days produces color image in the daylight mode where the IR leds aren’t used. The lens of the camera is surrounded with 13 IR leds which produce IR light in the dark. It automatically switches to the night mode, so that you don’t have to worry about turning the leds on. The IR light is invisible to the human eye, but the camera has a specific sensor that can produce an image based on the light that is reflected from the objects that are in the picture.

Because of its coloring it fits both the indoors and outdoors. Unlike many cameras this cheap, this camera is made of aluminium where as the other ones are usually made of plastic. That is one of the most important things that makes it vandal proof. The other important thing is that the attachment isn’t a bracket. Since there isn’t a shaft that could be broken, it is more durable when it comes to physical damage. Also the casing is shaped in a manner which directs all direct impacts away from the camera – there really aren’t straight surfaces on the camera. The lens is the only weak point, like usually, but it is protected with the metallic housing from both sides – these will prevent all large items from hitting the lens.

Like all VideoSecu cameras it is praised for the image quality – basically at this price range you can’t get another camera that has the same features AND the same image quality. Even with the night vision, it shows a clear image where you can easily see what is happening. No more guessing needed. This camera is perfect for home use when you want a discreet camera that looks around your premises.

Thanks to the wide angle of this camera you will be able to get away with one camera, or maybe just two depending on what you are looking at. If you want to use this at your front door, it is perfect and can really blend in thanks to the white colors and small size. Because it costs less than fifty bucks, you can be sure that you are not paying too much to get something simple in your home, but in the end we think that this can be also used for professional use.

Easily, one could use 3-4 cameras like this in a small store or a similar place of business. Thanks to the wide angle of view you can get away with just a few cameras and cover the whole area, but keep in mind that at the same time as the view angle gets bigger, you will see less and less details. This camera doesn’t have a huge view angle, but still wider than for example this cheap night vision security camera, which has quite a narrow view. It will work well for really targeted surveillance, in hallways for example. This VD21 vandal proof camera will be better off in open areas where you want to have the option to see what is happening in the edges of the area with just one camera.

Even though this is a cheap vandal proof camera, we feel like it does the job quite well. If you are getting it for home use, be sure the prepare yourself for the very easy setup – all you need to do is mount it, plug it in your DVR or TV set and you are done. We would recommend plugging it to a computer with a DVR card so that you can keep on recording all the time – if you are using it to provide some surveillance for a boat, expensive car, motorcycle or an RV, it is a good idea to have it recording all the time. It is a common method for the burglar or thief to start with checking your surveillance a few days in advance, and then break your camera and steal the item. If you have a vandal proof camera, you are a step ahead of the game, but make no mistake about it – this cameras can be broken as well. Having recordings for a few days back (at least) is very important if you want to catch the guy (or girl) who did it.

This camera gets all good reviews, mainly because it is really cheap, and really good. You can usually find similar cameras with double the price of this one – what can you say, VideoSecu know what they are doing when it comes to finding their markets. They are at the moment one of the leading manufacturers of affordable night vision cameras. Since this one is a dome camera with all metal construction, it is one of the most durable models we have found. You can align the camera without any tools needed, and this way you will enjoy the setup process, instead of getting frustrated because of it.

Click Here To Buy The VideoSecu 30 IR led Security Camera

If you are looking for a small sized highly capable outdoor camera that comes with a powerful night vision, this is the one that you need. This is definitely a cheap camera that is as high of a quality that you can get within the “under $30″ price range. For this price, there is no other camera that can match its features and quality.

This is one of the best recommendations to be used as a camera at your front door to see who is coming – the best part is the night vision that will show you who it is even if it is completely dark. Many use these models as a security check in for their home, but it would work as well for your business.

Just like it’s slightly smaller cousin, this IR security camera is packed with features that are going to make every owner happy they bought this exact camera. The night vision, for example is top notch, and it turns on automatically. There is a photo-cell inside the camera which will notice the difference in the amount of daylight, and once it gets dark enough it is going to switch to IR mode automatically. Like discussed previously with other cameras, this is a very handy feature as you don’t have to be around when it gets dark, or when there is a power black out and your security system is running on a backup generator or another backup power source.

These are all features that make this affordable IR security camera better than some cameras that are way more expensive. The VideoSecu IR805S is a lot more than just a camera with night vision, it is also the best value camera that you can get with this price tag. It is only slightly larger than the VideoSecu Bullet camera with 26 IR leds, and comes with a slightly better image and better night vision thanks to the 30 powerful infrared leds that are mounted on the face of the camera. The biggest difference with the IR24 is that this camera is made of plastic unlike the IR24, this isn’t really vandal-proof and we would not recommend you use this in an environment where you need that quality. Keep in mind that it comes with a price tag of $25, and you can’t really get a better cheap night vision camera anywhere – so don’t worry about it being made of plastic. If you use it for indoors and you aren’t using it for professional purposes, it should be more than enough.

Some people actually use it as an alternative to those baby monitors which can suffer from problems such as bad image, and interference. By mounting this low cost night vision camera in the bedroom of your kid and wiring it to an old TV or a computer monitor, you can use it to see how your kid is doing. At the same time you are not creating potentially harmful wireless signals that can disturb the sleep of your kid, and since the connection is made with a wire, you won’t have to worry about anyone else seeing it.

This is also a great camera for small stores and offices where you don’t really have to worry about someone breaking the camera – works great indoors and outdoors. The field of vision is acceptable for a camera this cheap, and if you choose this to surveil a larger area it is a good idea to get at few of them to avoid blind spots in your surveillance.

We recommend that you always mount it on a wall or the ceiling, or at least on a table. The bracket that comes with, isn’t very steady, and you should always use the screws to mount it on the surface. This way you will get a good image and you won’t have to worry about the camera being moved accidentally.

One interesting feature in this camera is that it comes with a built-in microphone. Not all security cameras come with a mic, and this means you can use it for many purposes where you normally would not use a real surveillance camera. Heck, if you have a webcam running, this is a better option for that purpose as well, and the best part is that it comes with night vision, is affordable, can be mounted and is designed to be running all the time. So you can be sure that it will outlast most of your cheap webcams! At this price it is a no-brainer, and you can be sure that the picture is a good quality compared to mane cheaper cameras. Keep in mind though that since this is a surveillance camera, it needs to be mounted far away from what you are trying to catch on camera! The field of view is pretty narrow (about 40 degrees), so it would work great when trying to tape an entire room.

Click Here To Buy The VideoSecu Bullet CCD IR Camera

If you are looking for the most popular bullet surveillance camera that is available, at an affordable price, we recommend you have a look at the VideoSecu bullet camera that comes packed with 26 IR leds. Small size, wide angle, good and clear image, lengthy IR visibility and small price tag makes this bullet camera more than a tempting purchase for anyone in the need of some extra surveillance!

You will get a high quality color CCD images sensor with an NTSC signal. There are 26 infrared lights with a wavelength of 850nm, which will make it possible to see in the dark with this camera. It can be pitch black, and you will still get a good image thanks to the powerful leds that are mounted on the face of this camera.

Basically how it works is it will display IR light that is invisible to the human eye, but visible to the camera. When the IR reflects on the object, the camera will catch it and display an image that is clear. When used in the IR mode the colors will not be true, but you can still see a good monochrome image, that is enough to identify someone, or see what has happened in the area where the camera is pointing to.

This camera works as an extreme weather surveillance camera as it comes with housing to protect it from humidity, water and physical damage. If you plan to use it in very cold climates, you will most likely need a separate heater for it. It has a small lid on the top of the camera which will prevent the sun from flaring too much on the lens.

You won’t have to worry about getting a power adapter for it, because it comes with the package. This bullet camera also looks good, and will fit in almost every environment like a glove. It is not a surprise that it is one of the best selling cameras there is, and you can’t find anything close to the quality and the looks in this price range. They are easy to use and easy to set up – thanks to the free adapter and free mounting bracket, most people are able to have a complete system witha fraction of the cost that it would normally be.

The video quality is good, and even if it isn’t a very high resolution, it is more than enough for the needs of a store, or a similar setup. For home use, it is more than enough, and for shops it is great if you know how to place them correctly. Some people have been complaining about the color balance being a little bit off with this camera, but we at Outdoor Security Cameras have to say that this is not something that you should be paying too much attention when purchasing a surveillance camera. It simply isn’t necessary to know that exact shade of the colors when you are identifying someone, or saying what color is the shirt they were wearing!

For a camera of this price range, the infrared vision is very impressive, and the IR leds are able to illuminate the whole field of vision from edge to edge! Most more expensive cameras aren’t able to do this, and we have to say that this is an exceptional camera in that area. The camera has light level detection and it will start using the IR lights and night-mode automatically without human interaction. This is especially important in case of a black out, but also you don’t want to have to be around every time it gets dark.

When you receive this outdoor bullet camera, all you have to do is open the box, screw on the bracket that comes with it and attach the wires to it and you have it ready. It took us a bit over 4 minutes, and I am sure that you will be done in less than 10 if you know already where you will be putting it. So setting up a system of 6 cameras (which is a good amount for a small store, even though the camera has a good view distance of about 40 feet) will most likely take you an hour or so. Doesn’t really get much easier than that, and you will have a full setup with six IR cameras with a very small price tag! These are literally some of the cheapest and best quality cameras that you can get.

We have been talking about the use indoors, and you have to keep in mind that this works outdoors as well as indoors. So you don’t have to worry about getting different cameras, unless you want something special inside the house – sure you can get away a little cheaper when you purchase cheap bullet cameras indoors, but you are sacrificing image quality, night vision and vandal safety. The metal housing on the VideoSecu Bullet CCD security cameras is enough to protect it from most of the attacks it will ever have to sustain.

If you are in a location where you really need to take the weather in to account when designing your outdoor surveillance system, I recommend that you get extreme weather surveillance cameras to help you avoid unnecessary maintenance, and replacement …

If you are in a location where you really need to take the weather in to account when designing your outdoor surveillance system, I recommend that you get extreme weather surveillance cameras to help you avoid unnecessary maintenance, and replacement of the cameras. If you would just use regular outdoor cameras, you would easily have a number of the break depending on the type of the weather.

If you are dealing with extreme humidity, you need to get a camera that has extra protection against water or else the electronics inside will be fried because of the humidity short circuiting it all. Also you will have problems with a foggy lens on the camera as the humidity will create water vapor on the lens.

Another instance is cold weather. If you are in very low temperatures getting an extreme weather surveillance camera is pretty much your only choice which will work in the long run. Some people get cold weather outdoor surveillance camera casings which have heating in them, but these are not as good as getting a camera designed for the weather.

Which cameras should you think about?

Based on my experience with all weather surveillance cameras, these are the models that I would recommend to you. Click the names of the cameras to get more information on them.

Speco Technologies Hi-Res Color Vandal-Proof Weather-Proof Dome Camera with IR LEDs

Why this? Well first of all, the Speco camera is not only vandal-proof but also weather proof. The added protection against physical damage will help with the weather, and we have tested that this camera can take quite a good beating. So you don’t have to worry about someone breaking the glass, and then the weather doing damage, because it is not going to happen. When you mount it in the ceiling high enough, most people aren’t going to be able to effectively damage it because they don’t get such a power position when trying to break it.

You should get a camera that has a bit more potential than you are looking for, to make sure that you don’t have to invest in a new camera soon after you get it. Extreme weather surveillance cameras are something that you don’t want to renew every year, and that is the biggest reason why I recommend getting something that can handle more than you are hoping it to. Security cameras are an area of surveillance where I would personally not try to save money!

If you don’t want a dome camera like this, have a look at this bullet camera.

VideoSecu Weatherproof Hi-Res 600TVL Infrared 1/3″ SONY CCD Day Night Indoor Outdoor Home Security Surveillance Camera with Long Range Night Vision, 54 IR Leds, 6-15mm Lens

I understand that many people don’t like a dome camera, and in a lot of times you don’t have the option to properly mount it. They are effective in places where you can use them, but the basic bullet cameras work well in all situations.
